FAQ
What age is PlayCap designed for? PlayCap is sized specifically for youth players ages 4–12. Most adult caps are just too big to stay put during active play — PlayCap is built to fit kids properly so it actually stays on.
Does PlayCap protect from the sun? Yes — UPF 50+ rated, with a perforated crown that lets air flow through so your head doesn't overheat. Sun protection that actually breathes.
Why is the brim shorter than a regular baseball cap? Intentionally. A shorter brim means less drag and better peripheral vision when you're moving fast. You get sun and glare protection without anything getting in the way of your game.
Is the brim safe for soccer? Yes. The brim is soft, flexible EVA foam — it bends and compresses on contact. No hard plastic, no rigid inserts. We built it that way on purpose.
Can soccer players wear PlayCap during games? PlayCap is built to align with the safety principles of FIFA Law 4 — soft foam brim, no rigid materials, no sharp edges. Game use is ultimately up to the referee or league, which is true of any headwear in soccer. Most of our players wear it for practices, warm-ups, goalkeeper play, camps, and tournaments, where it genuinely shines.
Is PlayCap concussion protection? No, and we'll never claim it is. PlayCap is a performance sun cap. It protects from UV, heat, and glare — not head impacts.
Is PlayCap machine washable? Yes. Toss it in on a gentle cycle and air dry. It holds its shape.
Do you offer team or camp orders? Yes — we work directly with clubs and camps. Reach out at here and we'll figure out what works for your group.
